The EHDS Forum is intended to establish a reference point for discussions about the European Health Data Space (EHDS), a Regulation providing a harmonized technical and legal framework for health data uses and re-uses across data infrastructures in the European Union and associated countries. With the Forum, we create a meeting ground for Science and Technology Studies (STS) scholars, other social scientists, as well as ethical and legal scholars who are studying this important initiative – which, at the time of its launch, represents one of the most comprehensive health data initiatives in the world.
Specifically, the Forum will be geared to:
- Discussing and analyzing EHDS-related developments
- Fostering collaborative work on the EHDS
- Facilitating comparisons between EHDS and similar initiatives elsewhere
- Laying the basis for collective engagement in additional EHDS-related initiatives (e.g., organization of panels at conferences, workshops, applications, etc.)
